Giving up is easy. It can be a short pause or a punctuation mark but either way, putting plans aside can be a sign of desperation, impatience or lack of tenacity. Staying the course requires determination, persistence, stickability, focus and constant eyes on the prize. Achieving completion of what we commence hits a ‘sweet spot’.
Staying on track involves having the end in mind, despite the obstacles and opposition. The chosen pathway and its objectives will disappear into the atmosphere with little reward for effort, if we give up.
Giving up can be seen as a cop out, lacking courage and low stamina. If we adopt a victim’s mentality, it’s difficult to switch into a victorious mindset. Expecting victory and breakthrough every time we’re confronted with hurdles, needs to be an automatic ‘default’ mindset no matter the emerging problem. Victory says we will never give up. Never.
